ISQ awarded in Brazil
On the 16th April 2014, ISQ won an award for the best 5S programme from among all the Vallourec service providers in 2013 at Cine Brasil Vallourec. This prize was awarded in recognition of the best organising practices and discipline to management. The 5S programme aims to mobilise, encourage and raise the awareness of the whole company to Total Quality in the workplace, through a list of five japanese words: tidiness (Seiri), orderliness (Seiton), cleanliness (Seiso), hygiene (Seiketsu) and self-discipline (Shitsuke). The ceremony awarded work focused on the continuous improvement of service providers and employees. The award was given by the Manager of Predictive Maintenance and Improvement and Contract Manager Paulo Monteiro to Contract Coordinator for ISQ Brazil, Walisson Barbosa. This recognition validates ISQ’s commitment in Brazil to quality and continuous improvement practices, contributing to maintaining the partnership which has been in place since 1999 with this important company in the Brazilian steel sector.
