IQSE is an European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG), created for the ITER – International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor project, and later extended to all civil nuclear programmes, made up of ISQ, APAVE and TÜV SUD, for the provision of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Inspection and Third Party Testing and Follow up services.

ESQS is an Industrial Grouping of European Companies made up of ISQ, APAVE,TÜV SUD, GTD and INSA, among others, to provide operations management services, technical inspections, risk analyses and analysis/development of procedures for the Ariane 5, Soyuz and Vega launch systems at the European Space Centre in French Guiana.
The European Space Centre is the world’s largest commercial satellite launch base. Although it is on French territory, the ESA has a major financial stake in its operations and its operator is ARIANESPACE.
Alongside France, Portugal is the only other European country to keep technicians at this base on a permanent basis.

From 2005, ISQ has held the charimanship of WP11 – subgroup of the Department of Land Transport of the United Nations, responsible for ATP certification – Transport of Perishable Products.

ISQ is supported by POR ALENTEJO for the expansion of the Technological Promotion and Transfer Centre (CVTT) in the Alentejo region – Advanced Materials and Industrial and Food Quality Control. This expansion aims to strengthen research, technological development and innovation.

Total eligible cost: €2,142,515.97.
European Union support: €1,821,138.57.

ISQ is supported by PORLVT for the re-qualification and development of added value technological competences by ISQ – Oeiras for supporting companies in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region. This re-qualification aims to strengthen research, technological development and innovation.
