ISQ participates in session on asbestos
On the 19th June, at the AICCOPN (Association of Civil Construction and Public Works Industrialists) headquarters, the Clarification Session on “Legal Obligations for the Removal of Asbestos in Construction Works” took place, which ISQ attended as a guest speaker to address the issue of “Inspection and Diagnosis of Asbestos-Containing Materials”. The main purpose of the event was to explain to participants the legal aspects and best practices related to works which involve handling asbestos-containing materials, such as the demolition of buildings, removal of materials, maintenance/repair and the transport of waste. Besides ISQ, also participating as speakers were the ACT (Authority for Work Conditions), the CICCOPN (Centre for Professional Training of the Civil Construction and Public Works Industry), a representative of the area of Occupational Medicine and the AICCOPN. The session, which was attended by 120 members of the AICCOPN, proved to be very dynamic with an active participation in the final debate, given the timeliness and relevance of the issue.
