New website on nanotechology and nanomaterials

  Nanotechnology and nanomaterials have a new technical and scientific space available to everyone, from civil society to political decision-makers. The website created under the European Project NANoREG is promoted by the national partnership in this project (PToNANO – Platform for the responsible and sustainable development of nanotechnology and nanomaterials), composed of the following entities: ISQ, INSA, IPQ and DGS. Its mission is to contribute to the responsible and sustainable development of nanotechnology and nanomaterials in Portugal and to exploit their potential as a driver for innovation and competitiveness. It also aims to promote research, innovation, the transfer of knowledge, support for the implementation of legislation/regulation and the dissemination of nanotechnology and nanomaterials to the different interested parties. The website is a privileged area for information on safety, health and the environment within the context of nanotechnologies and nanomaterials, with particular focus on legislation/regulation.
