Ariane 5 launches another 2 telecommunications satellites
Two new satellites, successfully launched by Ariane 5 from the European Space Centre in Kourou, French Guiana, are now in orbit. Since 2003, the ISQ Group has integrated the Industrial Group of European Companies called ESQD formed by, among others, ISQ, APAVE, TÜV SUD, GTD and INSA to provide operation management services, technical inspections, risk analysis and analysis/development of procedures for the Ariane 5, Soyuz and Vega launch systems. ISQ has a team of specialised technicians located in French Guiana to provide services in Quality of Operations, Safety and Environment areas. In addition to the activity developed in Kourou, the laboratories that the Group has in Portugal have, throughout these years, carried out several tests, namely mechanical and thermodynamic, and have also tested materials for the space industry. These new satellites are the ASTRA 5B and the Amazonas 4A which are currently in transfer orbit and will soon go into operation.
