Ecotrain

ISQ member of the consortium -liderado by Amorim Cork Composites and which are part of the Alstom Portugal and PIEP- development of new cork composite components to apply at very high speed trains. In this project the ISQ develops Eco-design assessment life cycle and mechanical testing of materials that are likely to be used on the floors of the trains on the side panels and partitions. Cork is a sustainable raw materials reduces CO2 emissions to increase the value of exports and enhance the cork oak forest. The investment associated with Ecotrain 893,000 euros is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the COMPETE – Operational Programme Competitiveness Factors.
