ISQ has its own Laboratory of Electric Cables (accredited laboratory) for assessment of compliance with legal requirements, standards and specifications. ISQ conducts projects of cable testing for certification by third part. This process may involve a product certification body. ISQ has agreements with the Certification Body CERTIF (Association for the Certification) for swifter certification process which issue the licenses based in the ISQ test reports. ISQ cable laboratory is accepted to operate as laboratory in the HAR Scheme and CB Scheme with CERTIF as Certification Body. Cables with improved characteristics Testing to monitoring and support to manufacturers in the validation of electric cables with improved characteristics, through the performance of the following tests listed below: Burning behaviour testing Testing to determine halogens, corrosiveness of emitted gases Saponification testing Testing to determine carbon black Testing resistance to ozone Ageing tests when before different type of agents (temperature, solar radiation, UV radiation, chemical agents) Thermal stability of constituent materials Toxicity índex Electric power cables Assessment of compliance with the functional characteristics, safety and durability, thereby meeting storage, transportation, installation and use requirements, as set down in standards or contractual documents.
