Goals It is intended to create a new professional profile for the area of metals in Additive Manufacturing: the Design Technician in Additive Manufacturing for metals. This professional profile will be associated with a new qualification, also to be developed within the scope of this project, which will be aligned with level 4 of the European Qualifications Framework. It is also a goal of the project to test this qualification and to offer trainees the opportunity to participate in National and European Competencies Competitions organised by the consortium in a first phase, but to be added to EuroSkills competitions.   Expected results With this project, it is intended to contribute to the growth of Additive Manufacturing and, at the same time, meet the needs of qualified personnel in the market. Offer young people the possibility to take a promising career path and give them the opportunity to participate in national and international competitions in which it is important to "do good". It is expected, as results:

  • A new European curriculum – European Metal Additive Manufacturing DesignTechnician – aligned with the needs of industry, to be integrated into the International System of Qualifications in Additive Manufacturing (IAMQS)
  • A guide for trainers and teachers to support them in the implementation of this new qualification
  • Establishment of national and European competence competitions applied to this new qualification, with specific rules
  • Integration of this new qualification into the National Catalogue of Qualifications
