Acronym: AmICCI18-20 Project name: Strategic Project to Support Internationalization, Consolidation of Competences and Promotion of Excellence in strategic areas of Industrial Research – 2018-2019 Project code: LISBON-01-0145-FEDER-038001 Total Cost: 317,203.65€ Funding value: 126,881.46€

Goals: ISQ is positioned as a national technological infrastructure strongly dedicated to the acceleration of the process of transfer and implementation of new methodologies and technologies in companies. Participation in the different European Framework Programmes in the last twenty years has enabled the necessary development of successful projects and a network of national and international partnerships to be created. This project aims to develop and/or consolidate its competencies with the development of R&DT projects of national strategic interest, aligned with the Smart Specialization Strategy defined for Portugal for the period 2014-2020. The project is based on a participation plan in the different Pillars and programs of the H2020 according to a strategy of internal research and specific technological development, consolidating skills already acquired. The plan was developed to provide a concrete response to what is established in isq’s current R&D strategy, which is aligned with the Smart Specialisation Strategy. The ISQ Strategic Plan establishes five priority areas (A) of research:

  • (A1) Advanced inspection techniques;
  • (A2) New materials and manufacturing processes;
  • (A3) Industrial sustainability;
  • (A4) Risk management;
  • (A5) Energy Efficiency.

These priority areas are included in the main sectors of activity of isq (areas of activity, D), namely:

  • (D1) Energy;
  • (D2) Transport (mainly automotive and aeronautics);
  • (D3) Process and product industry;
  • (D4) New Materials and Components;
  • (D5) Agri-food.

The two-year participation plan was drawn up, with a total of 32 applications to the H2020 programmes for the period 2018-2019, focusing particularly on the Pillars of Challenges and Industrial Leadership, corresponding to a total investment of EUR 13.07 million.

This project received support from the Operational Program Competitiveness and Internationalization and Lisbon2020.   barraFinanciamentos
