ISQ reinforces bet in Mozambique
ISQ has just signed a collaboration agreement with the Portugal Mozambique Chamber of Commerce (CCPM) with the aim of preparing new projects in various sectors, thus strengthening a network of synergies between the two countries. Moreover, ISQ's commitment to Portuguese-speaking countries such as Angola, Mozambique and Timor has already been decades old, and in the case of Mozambique, the work developed for the Nacala corridor, matola gas pipeline and the qualification of staff, in partnership with Mondlane University "Within the framework of this partnership with CCPM, ISQ will support the activities of associated companies in matters related to industry, infrastructure and sustainability and providing engineering services and solutions, testing, testing, inspection, consulting and audits. The focus will also materialize on training/training and promoting local content in large projects, in partnership with the local academy and with the objective of developing the training of the specialized workforce in Mozambique", explains Pedro Matias, president of ISQ. ISQ has bet on the international market from an early stage, in a future-focused growth strategy, which allows it to be present today on four continents. Investment in innovation and massive participation in international R&D projects were factors that contributed to extending this process, which remains one of the group's main drivers . And due to the cultural proximity, the first steps of internationalization were taken in Angola, Brazil and Mozambique. "In Mozambique, ISQ was chosen to inspect the first gas pipeline built after the discovery of large natural gas reserves in the country. We inspected the integrity of more than 3,300 welds over the nearly 30 kilometers of the pipeline. The project aimed to supply natural gas to the city of Maputo", stresses Pedro Matias. For this project, ISQ has installed in Mozambique a non-destructive control laboratory capable of industrial radiography techniques of ultrasounds, magnetic particles and penetrating liquids. At a time when Mozambique is undergoing a time of economic transformation, strategic cooperation between the two countries and ISQ is most pertrereal, providing its knowledge and technical capacity, will certainly help to create a value chain in companies in this market (national and international) and to development, by inence, mozambican economy. "Diplomatic relations between the two countries are excellent and there are plenty of opportunities to step up bilateral relations and promote investment. There are several portuguese reference companies in Mozambique such as GALP, VISABEIRA, MOTA-ENGIL, BONDALTI, CABELTE, AMORIM, PORTUCEL, EDP, DELTA, among many others, and in many of these projects ISQ can contribute value and be a strategic partner", concludes Pedro Matias.
