ISQ presents Virtual Reality mobile device to support aircraft maintenance at MRO Europe 2018 in Amsterdam
ISQ was invited by TAP – airmes project coordinator, to be present at its stand at MRO Europe to present the latest version of the prototype of the Virtual Reality mobile device developed by ISQ under the AIRMES – Airline Maintenance Operations implementation of an E2E Maintenance Service Architecture and its enablers. The virtual reality device developed in collaboration with TAP, in the context of integration and demonstration in real operating environment, of mobile applications that optimize the performance of maintenance operations, will result in the facilitation of them in hangar, in particular a significant reduction of the time of understanding of technical procedures and a decrease in the probability of human error. The presentation of the device at this fair was a success based on the high number of demonstrations held during the two days. The device has captured interest from various entities and a wide range of sectors within aviation, including for application in areas such as training, online maintenance of engines and aerostructures, interiors, among others. MRO Europe is the leading event in Europe for the commercial air transport maintenance, repair and operation industry, designed by innovative leaders and high-reputation entities in the aviation/aerospace industry. MRO Europe welcomes more than 9000 participants and presents itself as a global venue for all those involved in the Maintenance and Repair (MRO) sector.
