The Symposium on Metrology (SimpMet) returns for its 8th edition, again in a face-to-face format (in ISEP’s Auditorium E), on May 18th (Wednesday), starting at 09:30.
This event is organized by the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), the Instituto Electrotécnico Português (IEP), the Centro de Apoio Tecnológico à Indústria Metalomecânica (CATIM) and the Centro Hospitalar Universitário de São João (CHUSJ), and is supported by the Specialization in Metrology of the Ordem dos Engenheiros.
This year’s themes focus on the most current issues, “The Digital Transition” and “Decarbonization”, and the main theme of the World Metrology Day 2022 is “Metrology in the Digital Age”.
The Symposium will therefore focus on the enormous importance that the digital transition and decarbonization have for everyone, with particular emphasis on the latest developments in the application of Metrology in these areas.
SimpMet is aimed at all those who, in their professional practice, need to carry out measurements, tests, calibrations, analyses or inspections, both in hospitals and other health organizations and in industrial companies, testing and calibration laboratories, universities, polytechnics, research centers, among other sectors.
